An old one, but fun top try again. The only thing I can think off that might even be close to taking advantage of this sort of idea since 2005, is the iPhone or Surface computing stuff. Still a long way to go.

I do think Surface computing goes beyond this, as it allows gestures and multiple “input”.
Do agree this still needs a few years to become mainstream i.e. implemented in “average” devices …

I like this type of research around user / computer interaction. THe way we use technology today is aincient … Yet to improve is in a way that scales (SW/HW/Servvices vendors) seem a major bottleneck …
