Forrester: The IT Organization: Users Versus Decision-Makers

Recently, Forrester surveyed IT decision-makers and technology users to uncover their opinions about IT, such as if they feel that their IT organization is collaborating and innovating as it should be. We found that users and decision-makers agree that the IT organization is a source of innovation, even though the company is not as willing to experiment with new technologies. Both decision-makers and users also agreed that many parties are involved in planning major IT initiatives. However, users are more pessimistic than decision-makers are when it comes to collaboration during IT initiatives and are also more likely to feel that executives do not allocate promised resources for innovation.
