When will Microsoft close the gap between the features of on premises server based solutions and their online services e.g. SharePoint Online?
Current limitations I think are crucial to any enterprise:
- Open to an enterprise search (support for federation or crawler) e.g. FAST on premises
- Open to SAML for user authentication/provisioning
- Open to CMIS
Afaik these limitations will not go away in Wave 14 of BPOS at least no hard dates are given by Microsoft.
